Hollywood Swinging
Wednesday
was the beginning of Lent as well as the 11th anniversary of my
blog. Some of you may suggest that I give
up blogging for Lent. I don’t find that
type of talk helpful. I was going to post on Wednesday but that is when I got
the news that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are no more. I was bereft.
As often as I try to tell myself that these Hollywood relationships are
vacuous and devoid of devotion, the breakups still sting. And I hear Brad has been texting
Jennifer. If I was Justin, I would be
pissed. Regardless, I hope everyone respects my privacy during this difficult
time.
Have you ever
heard of this guy LaVar Ball? His son Lonzo
is a freshman phenom on the UCLA hoops team.
LaVar says Lonzo is better than Steph Curry. I think that puts undue pressure on the
kid. Back when I was a teenager, we had
an old neighbor that had a hoop which he used to play around on with his little
grandkids. One day my father bragged out
loud that I could take the old man or any one of his grandkids. That was tough
on me.
Have you
seen the latest advance in technology?
Ridickulous!
In the
recent headlines, Trump is stating his total confidence in Jeff Sessions. I think that is what he said about
Flynn. Now that the little weasel
Sessions has recused himself from Russia investigations, his resignation may
not be far behind.
North
Korea is saying Kim Jong Nam died from a heart attack. He certainly may have. That is one of the possible results when you
are attacked with chemical weapons.
That
Oscars Best Pic slip up was something, wasn’t it? It certainly threw off my circadian rhythm
for a few days. They also featured a
picture of a live person with a dead person’s name in the In-Memoriam
segment. That would be quite a shocker
to see your mug come up. “I’m not dead
yet.” Who the hell is running the show here?
