The Long Con Is Over

It has been a slow news month, so I have not had much to say lately.

Holy shit, we’re ridin’ with Biden! I have a lot of disjointed thoughts about the crap the Orange Duce and his cabal have been trying to pull.  That may make this one a little tough to read, which it will have in common with most of my posts.

Besides for several lawsuits that have been laughed out of court, the current so-called administration set up a fraud hotline that they have since had to shut down, as it was inundated with NSFW pictures and tons of prank calls, including from noted Trump impersonators Anthony Atamanuik and JL Cauvin.  One guy called in about a suspicious character at the polls in black and white striped shirt with a red tie.  This was the suspect.

Rudy is taking over the election lawsuits, after a white shoe firm bailed out.  They probably came to the realization that however many hours they billed, they’d never collect. I expect America’s Mayor’s efforts will be in vain, but damn if that’ll stop him.  Proximity to power and press coverage is to him what blood is to his cousin, the vampire.  My message to Rudy would be to pack it in and go sip whiskey and smoke cigars at the club, but I get the feeling he’d not be up for my advice.

All this madness has not taken my mind off our current pandemic, but it has edged out my worries about murder hornets.  We’ve received good vaccine news last week and today, so things are looking up.  Oddly, this has pissed off the President, as he thinks they were holding off the announcement until after Election Day.  What can you expect from that prick?

He’s got two more months to stir stuff up.  This weekend he goaded on the Million MAGA marchers.  Kayleigh confirmed that there were a million marchers, although those with the ability to count had it coming in well under six digits.  There was a recent article that “could cast Trump in a very negative light”. Thank you for that but I could have read 35 year old NY Post articles to glean that.

I could probably go on ad nauseum, but that is what you have real writers and pundits for.  I’ll switch over to my fantastic personal life.

We had The Wigs over for dinner Friday.  They were enraptured with my company and the Coq au Riesling I whipped up for them.  I treated them to one of my signature cocktails, The Corpse Reviver 2.  Look it up people.  The Wigs are awaiting the birth of their granddaughter, so are based in Cole Valley for the month.  We have a Sonoma visit scheduled for next week to Hamel Family Wines, one of their favs.

As most of you know, I have decided to bid adieu to the corporate world.  My retirement date is 11/20/20.  I expect to be writing more about my illustrious career and my impact on the telecom industry, but I think that will be a book length effort.  I had changed jobs recently, but quickly came to the conclusion that it was time to call it quits.  Below is a snapshot of my IM status messages from the job I left in July.  Perhaps this is a clue that I was feeling a little restless.

I’ll close out by announcing that SB1 and his lovely girlfriend will be getting married.  They took a trip down to NC this weekend, where he popped the question.  They gave us a call Saturday to inform us.  Shortly thereafter we had a nice video chat with our soon to be in-laws. No date has been set, but we’ll have a lot of time to discuss their plans when they fly in next month. 💕
