Posh Club
I got word yesterday that
the outdoor pool at my club will re-open, after renovations, on
December 4, about a month earlier than had been planned. This
brightened my day. I have not been able to do my laps for a month,
since the indoor pool was too crowded during this period. And I have
not been able to bring SB2 to toss him around on the weekends. Which
leads me to an interesting story.
SB2 has this tactile
thing. After we give him a shower, he takes the towel and vigorously
rubs it on his nose. He does the same thing with a napkin after his
meals. So I brought him to the pool a few months back. I have to
keep an eye on him as we enter the club. Part of the routine is to
rub his hand across a concrete part of the wall at the entrance. He
almost ran over a staffer in one attempt. He then likes to stop to
check out the cafe. He doesn't go in, he just stares, then moves on.
As we entered the locker
room to change, we passed a guy toweling off in front of the mirror.
You guessed it. He was trailing me so I did not catch him in time
before he grabbed one end of the guy's towel and wiped his nose. I
suppressed a cackle and went to get the gentleman a fresh towel. I
was relieved that he was quite understanding.
Do you want quantity or
quality? Or both? I was considering saving this next one for another
post, but my readership deserves all I got. This blurb from AOL
represents the inutility of that fine organization as well as of
Twitter. I'll spare us all by not providing the slideshow link.
"Following
the trend of recent celebrities who tweet what they ink, singer Adam
Lambert tweeted a photo of his brand new, large, and intricate arm
tattoo. Lambert, known for his eccentric style and persona responded
to fans saying, "it represents my Astrological Birth Chart,
along with Pagan, Buddhist, and Greco- Roman Archetypes related to
balance and the life cycle." Recently, Demi Lovato tweeted a
photograph of her tattoo inked by famed tattoo artist Kat Von D.

Things
really were simpler in the old days. It is quite unlikely that you'd
ever hear the WWII Navy vet sipping a Bud at the bar say "It
represents an anchor".
Hey,
I just put SB2 on the school bus and some guy bicycles past wearing a
surgical mask. Is the bird flu back?
